Jonas Petersen is the Chief Digital Officer for the Western Australian Government, leading whole-of-government digital strategy, innovation, and transformation. He oversees major initiatives including WA’s AUD 1 billion Digital Fund, the State’s Digital Strategy, AI Policy and Assurance Framework, and draft Privacy and Data Sharing legislation. Originally from Denmark, Jonas played a key role in establishing the Danish Health Data Authority and held senior leadership roles across Denmark’s nationally recognised digital health and e-government programmes. His career spans start-ups, global corporates, and public sector reform across three continents. Jonas holds an EMBA from IMD and master’s degrees from leading European institutions.
